Construction Project Coordinator

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Perform / Coordinate Preconstruction activities as assigned.

Review permit plans and specifications and ensures compliance of construction project to plans and specifications.

Prepare submit and track construction plans to permitting authorities.

Produce project supporting documents through project management and financial tracking software

Prepare and run reports for the project managers key deliverables including but not limited to Cost Projections Over / Under Billing Buyout Log Closeout Log Project Schedule using forms and systems in place.

Prepare meeting minutes and me4eting agendas as required.

Continuously track and follow up with all facets of the construction project including tracking and processing buyout processing change orders permit revisions certificates of insurance and closeout processes.

Process review and prepare submittals shop drawings and samples through the designated project specific process.

Working with the project manager price and produce Change Orders as necessary and update all tracking logs.

Support a minimum 3 construction projects as assigned to see that safely and in a way consistent with a professional construction management firms policies and procedures timely completion quality completion and companys financial goals are met.

Prepare and issue the projects construction subcontracts at the direction of the project manager.

Confer with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties responsibilities consistent with company policies and procedures.

Communicate with subcontractors regarding changes in scope changes in cost of work and ensure AP / AR process deadlines are met.

Prepare and coordinate meetings with clients subcontractors suppliers.

Aid Superintendent and project personnel by providing guidance and project support.

Document control for all components of the construction project.

May visits job site(s) semiregularly to assure safe practices quality and performance.

The Project Coordinator has the authority and responsibility to accomplish the specific duties above. However without the approval of the President and / or Vice President of Construction given the situation the Project Manager may not contract for any services for the Company.

Minimum Requirements :

Excellent written and verbal communication skills communicating effectively with employees subcontractors and clients.

Ability to work independently and within a Team to prioritize a variety of tasks working under tight deadlines.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency in basic construction accounting i.e. Cost codes AIA Invoices (G702 / 703 Job Costing Project Projections.

Ability to read analyze and interpret construction contracts and subcontracts construction blueprints general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports technical reports business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of mangers clients customers and the public.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest proportions percentages area circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts college level algebra and geometry.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.

Computer literate utilizing necessary software proficiently including Online Construction Software (Foundation Construction Management Software experience a positive) Microsoft Project Asana Slack Excel and all Microsoft applications.
