Job Summary :
A Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal assists attorneys in managing personal injury claims, from initial consultation to trial. This role involves preparing legal documents, conducting research, and ensuring effective communication between clients, insurance companies, and other parties involved. The paralegal works to ensure that cases move smoothly through the legal process and that deadlines are met. Prepares legal documents for attorney's approval and use.
- Assist in administrative duties such as scheduling, filing lawsuits and making sure all parties have been properly served;
- Assist in the retrieval of medical records;
Compiles evidence and supporting information by searching records, discovery documents, medical records, and databases; interviewing clients, third parties, and expert witnesses.
Prepares legal documents for attorney's approval and use.
Prepares exhibits, affidavits, and other legal documents.
Begins legal actions by arranging for notice and subpoena service.
Oversees cases by managing files and documents; coordinating with support services and clients, the courts, opposing counsel; managing trial calendar; maintaining schedules and deadlines; and processing settlement papers.
Assist attorney with summarizing deposition, arbitration, hearing, trial, and other transcripts.
Contributes to team effort as needed.
Assist with scheduling clients.
