Job Overview :
The Nuclear Medical Technologist provides healthcare services utilizing radionuclides for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. This role involves performing a wide variety of nuclear medicine procedures, as well as handling computer data processing and other technical tasks to produce diagnostic images, under the direction of a licensed practitioner.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform a range of nuclear medicine procedures utilizing appropriate imaging techniques.
- Operate and maintain imaging and computer equipment to ensure quality images are produced.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for patient imaging under proper safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient care and proper examination protocols.
- Evaluate images for technical quality and confirm that the study is complete for physician interpretation.
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory standards.
