JOB DESCRIPTION
VLCM is currently seeking a Microsoft Engineer. This role requires leveraging technical expertise to scope, implement, and support our clients' Microsoft environments. Additionally, the incumbent will provide subject matter expertise in Office 365 technologies, Azure, Intune, and client/license management.
As part of the VLCM Engineering team, the successful candidate can expect a stimulating and supportive work environment, offering both challenges and rewards. This client-facing role involves collaborating with various customers and IT environments. It necessitates strong written and verbal communication skills, a client-centric approach, service orientation, and adept multitasking abilities.
WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO
- Act as the trusted technical advisor for our clients.
- Assess clients' network, hardware, and system support needs and provide recommendations for enhancements.
- Participate in projects, migrations, relocations, and new deployments.
- Offer troubleshooting and support as required.
- Engage daily with clients (remotely and on-site) alongside VLCM account representatives, serving as the technical expert for Microsoft technologies.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Extensive experience in delivering and architecting cloud solutions, particularly Microsoft Cloud (Azure) and on-premises products.
- Possession of current Microsoft Certifications in Azure, Office 365, etc.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform is highly desirable.
- Possession of current Microsoft Certifications in Azure, Office 365, etc.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional customer-first attitude.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into layperson's terms effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Azure platforms.
- Experience with virtual environments (Hyper-V, VMWare/ESXi).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Intune/End Point Manager.
- Expertise in currently supported Windows desktop and server platforms.
- Understanding of Active Directory, Group Policies, etc.
- Familiarity with currently supported Microsoft Exchange Server versions.
- Experience with SQL and Power BI.
