Essential Job Duties
- Create and reproduction of high-quality Color Match and proofs for all incoming requests for all projects.
- Format and create customer presentations in accordance to established strict specification tolerances.
- Formulate and/or modify color matches using appropriate colorants, finished ink systems, additives, special effect metallic, pearlescent, optical brighteners, vehicles and extenders, and others as required.
- Performs standard color proofs to ensure compliance to customer and internal specifications, uses various proofing equipment across multiple applications, color software/hardware, color data transmission and submits proof results.
- Provide accurate formulae in a customer shared digital file.
- Accurate color match data through designated software.
- Use of various substrates for color matching and proofs.
- Maintains lab and equipment in the highest standards for a clean working environment.
- Data entry of project in appropriate file location either physical, electronic or both.
- Works with Lead and/or Manager to determine project priorities.
- Adheres to all rules and regulations according to safety, quality and food-safety policies.
- Associates Degree, technical trade school or minimum 4 years ink industry technical experience
- Proven competence in basic mathematics
- In-plant experience a plus
- 4-6 years prior color matching in multiple ink systems
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Good organization skills; ability to prioritize
