Waste Services

VLS Waste Services provides customized waste processing solutions for hazardous and non-hazardous industrial and commercial waste, including landfill diversion and sustainability programs, solidification of liquid waste, recycling, wastewater treatment, and waste sequestration.

Railcar Services

VLS Railcar Cleaning and Repair Services division provides specialty cleaning services for difficult-to-clean products, including chemicals, hardened materials, and pressurized gases, and comprehensive repair services for certified full-service repairs, tank car qualifications, and maintenance.

Marine Services

VLS Marine Services division offers state-of-the-art barge cleaning, repair, and gas-free facilities for various chemical solvents and downstream petroleum products.

Requirements:
The growth we've experienced has driven a need for even more outstanding talent! We are looking for a tenacious, results-focused Solutions Sales Manager to develop sales strategies, identify potential customers, and enhance and maintain relationships with existing customers in our non-hazardous Special waste and waste-to-energy initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing Company revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects, and managing sales.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create a well-developed pipeline of potential customers at amounts to exceed revenue goals.
  • Identify viable leads, manage prospects, and acquire new, profitable customers to meet and exceed established targeted revenue goals.
  • Build long-term relationships with prospective and existing clients in designated market.
  • Help customers select services based on their needs, specifications, and regulations.
  • Emphasize company features based on analyses of customers' needs and technical knowledge of company capabilities and limitations.
  • Answer customers' questions about prices, timelines, and logistics.
  • Negotiate prices and terms of sale and service agreements.
  • Prepare sales contracts and submit orders for processing.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as selling strategies and marketing information.
  • Follow up with customers to make sure they are satisfied with their services and to answer any questions or concerns.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years' experience within environmental and industrial services sales or other related fields
  • Minimum of 5 years procuring new leads, selling to, and retaining large customer accounts of 1 million plus (Generator to Direct)
  • Knowledge of Environmental regulations, regulation codes, different types of industrial waste pertinent to the region
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Contact Relationship Management software (CRM)
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Decision-making, problem resolution, and creative thinking skills
  • Responsible, and professional team player
  • Ability to work remotely and able to travel within the region
