Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Structural Steel & Miscellaneous Estimator at VM Iron Works. The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects in the structural steel and miscellaneous metals field.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in structural steel and miscellaneous metals estimation
- Knowledge of blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Proficiency in estimating software and spreadsheets including Tekla & Bluebeam
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Experience in the construction industry is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
