We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Mechanical Inspector to join our team at VMC Group.
In this role, you will work closely with the QA Supervisor to ensure the quality of our manufactured goods. Your primary responsibility will be to inspect incoming raw materials and components for conformance to existing inspection plans, customer drawings, and sales orders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inspect incoming raw materials and components
- Verify the traceability of incoming raw materials and components to existing inspection plans, customer drawings, and sales orders
- Manage the Material Review Board (MRB) process
2. In Process Product Inspection
- Ensure the integrity of the product during production
- Randomly sample the in-process product to ensure specifications and dimensional checks
- Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarize re-work and waste
3. Final Product Inspection
- Ensure the final product meets the specific customer order
- Review the final sign off on the traveler or work order to release the product to shipping
- Collect quality data for accept and reject rates in all areas
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- 2-3 years of experience in a mechanical inspection environment
- Working knowledge of calibration of gauges and ability to use calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and apply knowledge to inspection of products
