Responsibilities:
- This customer provided data shows all purchases of our items and competitor items by vendor, SKU, and quantity for a given time period.
- has algorithms that cleanse, correct, and categorize these items into platforms and segments that align to our product portfolios and pricing contracts.
- Additionally, has an analytics module that enables customer pricing integration, reporting capabilities, and a customer i deliver transparent insights.
- A critical component of obtaining these insights is identifying the correct project match for all vendor SKUS.
- Currently, this matching is done manually by SMES for a subset of vendor SKUs.
- However, doing the manual match for thousands of vendor SKUS is extremely time consuming.
- Therefore, the SOURCEVIEWTM team is interested in using Data Science to automate this mapping.
- The idea is to use natural language processing to train an algorithm that predicts a match for every vendor SKU.
- Once the mapping is automated, the SOURCEVIEWTMT team will be able to identify more customer saving opportunities across platforms which will in turn lead to revenue growth
