What are the responsibilities and job description for the Salesforce Technical Architect position at Vminds Technologies Inc?
Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
- This role requires strong expertise in Salesforce to provide innovative solutions that will match business partners goals and will also require excellent analytical skills.
- Daily work will include gathering and documenting business requirements, being SPOC of our business partners, helping on testing, training, and documentation. She/he will be part of a large team working on simultaneous projects (including Executive Office initiative).
- As Salesforce Senior IT Analyst, you will interface with product owners, IT architects, stakeholders, senior leadership, technical or non-technical teams, and Program Managers to design and support innovative Salesforce solutions for some of our modernization projects to meet the future needs of our business partners.
Typical task breakdown:
- Develop Scalable Solutions: Design end-to-end Salesforce solutions that are scalable, flexible, and secure.
- Integrate Salesforce with other systems like Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, and third-party tools.
- Prepare solution design documentation and rough order of magnitude (ROM) estimates on time and cost for projects and enhancements.
- Develop strategies for integrating Salesforce with other enterprise systems like ERP, CRM, or data warehouses.
- Define data architecture, including objects, relationships, and data flows across systems.
- Guide developers and technical teams on Salesforce best practices, coding standards, and architectural patterns.
- Conduct regular code reviews to ensure high performance, security, and maintainability.
- Define and enforce governance frameworks for Salesforce usage, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Improve business processes by leveraging Salesforce automation tools like Flows and Apex
- Ensure that solutions comply with Salesforce security best practices, such as role hierarchies, sharing settings, and field-level security.
- Implement Single Sign-On (SSO), OAuth, and identity solutions for authentication and user access control.
- Oversee and participate in custom development using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and APIs.
- Oversee Salesforce release cycles, sandbox strategies, and deployment practices using CI/CD tools.
- Communicate effectively with Business Partners teams to understand their requirements and/or to improve current solutions.
- Conduct technical analysis of new requests from internal customers to gather requirements, analyze, and convert into technical requirements that will be communicated to Development team.
- Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions to validate new ideas and architectures
- Perform Salesforce deployment testing and help our business partners to perform UAT.
- Evaluate new releases of Salesforce to determine functionality requirements and provide detailed information on how changes will apply to all affected Salesforce solutions.
- Optimize system performance, data loads, and platform scalability.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead technical discussions, and influence decision-making.
- Adapt to diverse business climates.
- Participate on 2-3 projects concurrently.
Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- 4 years of experience in SFDC Architecture and experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce API integrations, and middleware tools like MuleSoft
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of the SFDC Data Model across various clouds/products, proficient in multi-cloud architecture, and significant data modeling experience.
- Experience in architecting solutions on Service Cloud, Manufacturing Cloud
- Proven track record of successful large enterprise Salesforce project deliveries.
- Adherence to Salesforce best practices.
- Good effective communications skills being able to explain conclusions to our business partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and the agile development lifecycle; ability to utilize formal agile methodologies, disciplines, practices and techniques for the delivery of new and enhanced applications
- Salesforce CTA (Certified Technical Architect), Solution Architect, and Application Architect credentials are highly valuable.
