We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Associate Manager, Communications with a passion for storytelling and a strong understanding of the digital landscape. This individual will play a key role in promoting VML's brand and driving engagement across various channels. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience: Content Creation & Storytelling: Excellent writing and editing skills: Demonstrated ability to write compelling and concise copy for various formats, including newsletters, website articles, case studies, social media posts, and video scripts. Portfolio of writing samples required. Content strategy understanding: Ability to develop and execute content strategies aligned with VML's overall marketing goals. SEO knowledge: Familiarity with SEO best practices to optimize content for search engines. Social Media Management: Platform expertise: Deep understanding of social media platforms, including LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and emerging platforms like Bluesky and Threads. Experience with Sprout Social or similar social media management tools is preferred. Community management: Ability to engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and build online communities. Content creation for social: Experience creating engaging social media content, including graphics and videos. Proficiency with design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus. Social media analytics: Ability to track and analyze social media performance and make data-driven recommendations. Project Management & Collaboration: Project management skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Collaboration and teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and concisely. Adaptability & Innovation: Embracing new technologies: Demonstrated interest and ability to leverage emerging technologies, including AI tools like ChatGPT, to enhance communication efforts and improve efficiency. Experience using AI for content creation, research, or social media management is a plus. Innovative mindset: A proactive approach to identifying and exploring new ways to leverage technology and streamline workflows, making our work more cohesive and impactful. Willingness to experiment with new tools and platforms to improve communication strategies. Additional Desired Skills & Experience: Experience with paid social media campaigns is a plus. Experience with employee advocacy platforms is a plus. Passion for video creation and editing, particularly for short-form video platforms like TikTok, is highly desired. Understanding of the advertising agency landscape is preferred. Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field. 0-2 years of relevant experience in communications, marketing, or social media. Entry-level candidates with strong portfolios and relevant internships will be considered. The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below.
