It’s a fantastic opportunity to drive brand and commerce work through an integrated agency team with focus on international markets. The Managing Director is responsible for the overall management, growth and profitability of our business, acting as a trusted agency partner for our clients. As a senior member of the account team, the Managing Director will lead global brand and commerce initiatives facilitating the delivery of strategic and creative excellence. The Managing Director must be growth-minded, team-oriented and possess excellent leadership, problem-solving, interpersonal and strong communication skills. The Managing Director is responsible for identifying any potential deficiencies in agency capabilities and working to remedy those deficiencies. The Managing Director regularly demonstrates leadership and initiative in working with the department and agency leadership team, Executive Business Leads, and Account team leaders to enhance the overall focus on and excellence in client relationships and business operations. Financial forecasting is also a key responsibility, providing information for senior leadership to monitor financials on a short- and long-term basis. The Managing Director oversees a client engagement team to ensure seamless delivery of programs. An ideal candidate must be comfortable with a fast-paced environment and be able to manage client relationships at the most senior level while resolving internal conflicts through consultation with functional and department leads. What you’ll do: Partner | Strengthen relationships with senior level global clients to help set the strategic marketing agenda and oversee the translation of the client’s vision into a roadmap that guides our agency on how to not only achieve client goals, but also generate work that is creatively brilliant, measurable and has a cultural impact. Explore | Build a deep knowledge, understanding and confidence in the client’s business goals and propose solutions that offer wins for the client and the agency. Lead | Manage, inspire and motivate the integrated agency team delivering for this account. Review team deliverables and encourage excellence at all milestones. Provide strategic oversight and ensure the work gets noticed, used and appreciated. Process | Drive profitability at scale within the teams and develop growth opportunities. Find innovative ways to build new best practices. Build an engagement process between the agency and client, helping to unlock mutual value. What you’ll need: 15 years’ experience in a marketing/advertising agency environment. Proven global experience working across an integrated agency team (IAT) structure is a must. Brand experience with fluency in commerce is required.
Complex category experience ideal with CPG experience a plus. Comfortable, conversant and convincing across brand and strategy, data, digital, social and innovation marketing. A proven approach to building relationships that result in new partnership opportunities. Track record of driving incremental growth on existing work. Proven ability to lead, mentor and collaborate in a team-oriented multi-agency workplace, fostering career growth for the individuals on their project teams.
