VML is seeking a Senior CRM Strategist to drive data-driven, user-centric strategic planning for a high-profile client in the telecom/technology industry.
The ideal candidate is equal parts detective and artist: innately curious, detailed and data-driven, with the imagination to spot meaningful insights and big picture opportunities and transform them into compelling customer journeys that drive the business.
Reporting to the Group Director of Strategy, this person will spend considerable time partnering with analytics teams on mining insights, digging into 1st and 3rd party research, crafting testing research plans, and developing strategic recommendations - from targeting and segmentation, to messaging and channels - so, experience with user- and campaign-level data is a must.

What You'll Do
- Define | Work directly with clients at the outset of an assignment to define (or redefine) the right opportunity and the right problem to solve.
- Uncover | Perform research and analysis to help formulate meaningful insights and extrapolate the simple stories buried in complex data, incl. customer, campaign performance, website, survey, and various other types of data.
- Design | Develop strategy deliverables such as research plans, briefs, program strategies, communication journeys, implementation roadmaps, POVs, and quarterly business reviews.
- Deliver | Craft and deliver clear, concise, and compelling presentations to clients and internal stakeholders
- Collaborate | You'll work closely with a multi-disciplinary group of Analysts, Designers, Project Managers, Account Teams, and Technologists, serving as the subject matter expert and voice of strategy.

- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in an integrated or digital agency or consultancy with a strong CRM/Lifecycle/CX marketing background.
- Proven track record creating and presenting research-based Strategy artifacts for multichannel customer experiences, such as integrated communications journeys, customer onboarding strategies, campaign optimization recommendations, segmentation personas, creative briefs, thought leadership POVs, and testing and research plans.
- Strong experience working alongside analysts and data scientists, analyzing and synthesizing various types of data into compelling insights, recommendations and test plans.
- Experience working in a progressive, creative- and data-driven agency environment that has embraced digitally-led thinking, experience strategy and design principles as part of the core creative process.
- A diverse portfolio of work that demonstrates your approach to digital and account strategy and how it was applied to influence the creation of user-centered customer experiences.
- Able to fly at multiple altitudes, excelling at high-level experience strategy work and the nitty-gritty of strategic implementation and reporting.
- Track record of working in collaborative, agile environments, while navigating the demands to structure and process.
- Experience working in telecom or high-tech/online services is a plus.
