What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Inspector position at VN Engineers, Inc.?
VN Engineers, Inc. is seeking a full-time Construction Inspector for Bridge Group 18C R-Frenchtown. This project will replace two bridges and one bridge superstructure in Rhode Island. The project will take place in East Greenwich and North Kingstown
Responsibilities will include:
- Inspect work performed by construction contractors to ensure conformance with contract plans and specifications
- Contract administration
- Report daily progress and prepare daily work reports
- Track and document quality and quantities of work performed
- Report and document construction problems and challenges in the field
- Other oversight responsibilities as assigned
Candidates must have at least three years of related experience. A NICET II certification or Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred. Candidates must be reliable, have strong written and oral communication skills and have the ability to read and understand plans and specifications. Candidates Candidate must also be able to work nights and weekends when required. RIDOT experience is a plus.
