Established in 1891, Visiting Nurse Association is the home of the oldest home health care agency (VNA Home Health) in the Kansas City area and the sixth oldest in the United States. Over the years, VNA has expanded the services provided and areas of services to reach more people. Hospice Care of VNA was reintroduced to the community in 2020. Our long-lasting legacy comes from our belief that people not only need someone to care for them, they also need someone to care about them. That is what we do at VNA and our patients say it is one of the many things that set us apart., For our hospice patients and their families, this is a very stressful time. Having assistance with tasks such as yard work can take that burden off of the caregivers and allow them to spend more time with their loved one.
