Prior Hospice training & experience required
Position Summary: The goal of hospice and palliative RN is to promote the patients quality of life through the relief of suffering along the illness trajectory, through the death of the patient and into the bereavement period of the family. This goal is enhanced by a competent level of practice as demonstrated by the Standards of Hospice and Palliative Care Nursing Practice. Receives and responds to telephone calls from the triage partner during assigned shifts and provides direct care to hospice, palliative care and certified home health patients as directed by the triage partner.
Experience:
Minimum of one year in an acute care setting or comparable work experience required.
Minimum of one year oncology and home care experience preferred.
Minimum of one year Hospice experience.
