SUMMARY
Professionally maintains communication through telephone switchboard. Receives persons entering the facility and assists them in completing their purpose. Monitors Emergency Response System (ERS) and follows up with residents on daily check system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Complies with agency policies and procedures.
- Maintains communication through telephone switchboard and pagers in a professional manner.
- Monitors Alert pendant systems and emergency response
- Receives persons entering the facility and have them sign in and assist them incompleting their purpose. Have residents leaving the facility sign-out when they leave and sign-in upon return. Maintain 3rd party sign in/out
- Assists with general office functions as
- Maintains adequate stocks of office supplies and replenishes routine consumables toprevent shortages. Takes immediate steps to procure required items when stocks have been depleted in order to permit the smooth functioning of facility
- Assists with the performance of courier service, both internally and externally. Manage all incoming and outgoing mail and put in residents' mail box. Keeps work areas in a tidy
- Communicates Resident and family requests and needs to appropriate staff in a timely and professional manner.
- Keeps resident roster up to date and current. Maintain resident Elopement book with photoand current personal information for residents at risk of
- Maintains Resident Emergency fire drill contact books with current Resident
- Schedule resident Doctor Appointments along with giving reminders to resident and ensuring resident is ready for appointments. Have driving directions and medical information ready for all appointments.
- Monitor beauty salon and manicurist appointments.
- Assists the Human Resource Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be punctual, attendance satisfactory; provide proper notice of tardiness or absences. Attends meetings as required. Must follow facility dress code; maintain good personal hygiene and grooming. Must be mature and emotionally stable; use a calm, kind tone of voice with residents, staff and family members. Must be able to prioritize and organize work efficiently to accomplish workload within time allotted. Must be adaptable and flexible in changing situations. Must be compassionate toward the elderly, and work with tact and ethical awareness, ensure personal resident information is kept confidential. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); some advanced studies preferred. Prior office experience with multi-lined telephone system preferred. Knowledge of basic office machines. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Computer literate.
