Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient's functional status and physical therapy needs.
- Assist the physician in developing the therapy plan of care.
- Report patient response to treatment and any changes in condition to the supervising nurse and/or physician.
Treat patients to relieve pain, develop and restore function, and maintain maximum functioning using acceptable standards of practice.
Instruct and inform participating members of the healthcare team, the patient, and family/caregivers regarding the plan of care, functional limitations, and progress toward goals.
