What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chemical / Process Engineer position at VNS Federal Services?
Overview :
The Process Engineer is required to possess proficiency in computer applications, specifically spreadsheets. They must also have an ability to effectively communicate with various technical and managerial professionals, and they must have flexible personalities particularly suited for working in a constantly changing work environment.
The Process Engineer must be comfortable with managing multiple tasks and taking direction from 2 or more project managers.
Responsibilities :
Primary responsibility is to provide technical support for technology delivery projects and proposals related to effluent treatment and vitrification technologies. Technical support will be comprised of :
- Development and review of technical documents, such as process flow diagrams, P&IDs, specifications, and feasibility studies.
- Provide input to project managers and technical leads during the development of cost estimates and execution schedules. This includes routine updates during lifecycle of a project.
- Attend project meetings with peers, project management, senior management, and customers. Responsibilities in the meetings include providing status on assigned tasks and engaging in technical discussions.
In addition to the responsibilities above, and when available, the Process Engineer may support Technology Operations in the field and will be responsible for the following :
