Wherever VOAC goes, it combines relationship-building, volunteers, and quality services to lift and support our neighbor’s efforts to become self-sufficient and reach their full potential.Position Overview : The Director of Behavioral Health Services oversees programs and services with a behavioral health component, establishes models of practice, sustains and expands behavioral health services, and provides direct client care when necessary. Managerial responsibilities include supervision of staff; tracking, managing, and adjusting the program budget; coordination of activities among community partners across wide geographic areas; active collaboration with the local Continuum of Care; the development and implementation of behavioral health models of care; the design, expansion, and maintenance of behavioral health services; and the composition and submission of community action plans and program-specific reports to program funders.Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Oversees multiple grant agreements and funding sources, ensuring compliance with grant commitments and expectations of program funders and VOA.Trains, supervises, and evaluates staff members, ensuring compliance with job descriptions and established best practice standards.Composes and manages annual program budgets representative of grant agreements with program funders; monitors expenses and revises budgets as needed.Conducts and facilitates regular internal reviews of all components, monitoring for compliance with program requirements and best practices.Develops and implements a community design and outreach plan in collaboration with community partners.Takes a proactive role to remain apprised of evolving program regulations, standards, and best practices, integrating these into program operations.Collaborates with administrative services staff to ensure adherence to financial, personnel, and operational standards.Aggregates and reviews program data to determine the effectiveness of services and progress in meeting service goals.Ensures program staff provide accurate and timely documentation, adhering to confidentiality, record-keeping, reporting, and data entry standards.Coordinates activities among community partners and maintains excellent working relationships with community stakeholders.Assists in preparation of regular grant applications and requests for information.Develops, implements, and sustains behavioral health services across organizational divisions.Performs all other duties as assigned.CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES : Develops and oversees the implementation of clinical standards of care throughout all VOA programs with a behavioral health component.Conducts intakes, screenings, psychosocial assessments, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention as necessary.Collaborates and coordinates with community stakeholders in support of program objectives.Documents client interactions and progress towards service objectives.Develops, monitors, and updates individualized service and treatment plans for assigned program participants.Completes insurance authorizations and other reporting requirements as necessary.Maintains a positive and professional work environment.Minimum Qualifications : Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field.Active LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent licensure in the State of Colorado.3 years of supervisory experience.Must possess a Colorado driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle report.Must complete agency and program credentialing within 12 weeks of hire.Preferred Qualifications : Demonstrated pursuit and maintenance of grants or contracts.4 years of supervisory experience.Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC) Certification.Demonstrated grant writing abilities.Salary : $80,500-$90,500 annualBenefits : Benefit eligibility is based on job type / status, including vacation time, sick time, paid holidays, and various insurance options.Volunteers of America is an EEO / AA Employer.
