Description
The custodial float supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in cleaning and maintaining premises of commercial contract sites in Youngstown. This role is a working supervisor.Responsible for filling in as needed for area supervisors and Account Managers as needed. Hours may vary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Follow the daily job routine in the order it is outlined.
Use the correct step by step procedure for each cleaning task.
Follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for the use of all cleaning solutions and equipment.
Follow all safety procedures when operating the equipment.
Assigns tasks to workers and inspects completed work for conformance to standards.
Maintain, order and issue supplies and equipment including inventory of needed supplies.
Maintain all equipment, supplies, or supply rooms in an orderly fashion.
Resolves workers' problems or refers matters to Area Manager.
Submits requests for repair of equipment to Area Manager.
Assist in performing duties of workers supervised.
Ensure a level of cleanliness which meets the quality expectations of the customer.
Always interact with fellow employees and public caretakers in a courteous and friendly manner.
Contributes information for employees' annual reviews as requested.
Performs and completes payroll as required
Will fill-in for custodial staff as needed.
Must represent the company with a professional demeanor and act respectfully to employees, customers and the general public.
Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 3 years related experience and/or training preferred.

Must be able to pass federal GSA, Air Base, and Youngstown State University clearance processes as required by sites.

Must have strong communication skills to coordinate customer needs and expectations and supervise staff.

Must have reliable transportation to travel between sites as needed with little notice.
