This Bronx based organization is seeking a Human Resources Director to join its management team.
Position Overview
Culture separates great companies from good ones. As the Human Resources Director, you will lead VIP's initiatives to cultivate an environment that can attract, develop and retain amazing people. Along with the oversight of all Human Resource operations, the position requires the development, implementation and execution of HR strategies which directly align with VIP's values, business objectives and growth strategies, as well as serve as a trusted advisor to clients at all levels, including senior management, providing guidance, constructive feedback and strategic solutions.
Position Summary and Key Responsibilities
VIP is seeking a candidate who has demonstrated success in running HR departments. This individual will among other functions, be responsible for establishing employee training and development programs and measuring related outcomes. He / she will collaborate with Senior Management to ensure the organization is meeting its obligations to its employees while functioning under labor laws and other NYS regulations that govern employment. Additionally, the candidate will play a pivotal role in organizational growth and sustainability. Key responsibilities are not limited to the following :
Employee Relations : Ensure staff and management alignment with HR policies and procedures. Support development and administration of recognition programs; corrective action plans; conduct employee investigations, and perform employee and management coaching.
Labor Relations : Assess agency or workforce adherence to the labor agreement. Advise management on matters related to the administration of contracts. Propose resolutions and present VIP's positions during collective bargaining or other labor or contract negotiations or grievances. Serve as VIP's liaison with all union officials and representatives.

Recruitment and talent management : Develop and execute staffing plans and programs to identify and acquire talent from within and outside of the organization.
Equity : Utilize principles, processes and standards to ensure a workforce that is representative of the population served, respectful of cultures and individuals; continuous just and equitable HR processes and training in racial equity and diversity across the organization. Utilize tools to measure successful outcomes.
Compensation : Administer program components that include ensuring a competitive pay; market place analysis; and merit / promotion adjustments.
Regulatory Compliance : Identify and implements= HR programs, services and processes that are legally compliant at the Federal, State and local laws.

- Demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and handle multiple demands, the ability to develop, and guide staff to achieve the goals of the organization, and the ability to solve problems effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, plan, and support and inspire an organization including forecasting, developing and implementing organizational initiatives.
- Experience in a leadership role indicated by successfully forming a team that is highly productive and demonstrates collaborative relationships with multi-disciplinary teams.
- An ability to advocate and negotiate strategically and effectively with a wide range of people in a variety of settings.
- Knowledge of clinical and operational standards as applied within a nonprofit healthcare business environment.
- Proven successes in planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and modifying programs, systems, and processes.
- Supervisory experience, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
