POSITION TITLE : Peer Recovery Advocate
REPORTS TO : Clinical Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY : The Peer Recovery Advocate is responsible for providing recovery support services to consumers participating in a Part 820 residential program. The Peer Recovery Advocate documents all provided services in a manner that is compliant with regulatory and funding standards. He / she delivers services to program participants both on-site and in the community.
POSITION DESCRIPTION :
- Contribute to the development of the ethical framework for delivery of recovery services and conducts all recovery coaching activities within this framework.
- Document all recovery services in accordance with state and managed care regulations.
- Provide guidance, support and recovery coaching both individually and in group settings for participants in accordance with the treatment plan and engages in recovery activities and support services.
- Provide advocacy, outreach, empowerment, transitional, pre-crisis and crisis supports activities on-site and in the community.
- Accompany clients to appointments and other community-based activities.
- Organize pro-social activities and events.
- Participate in outreach events to represent the agency
- Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings.
- Attend all required in-service training seminars.
- Participate in quality improvement activities.
- Other relevant duties as required.
