POSITION REPORTS TO: Medical Director

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision and guidance of the Medical Director, provides clinical and medical services for the agency to ensure that optimal quality services are rendered to all clients in a manner consistent with current medical practices and in compliance with all regulatory agencies. We are growing and seeking highly motivated, career clinicians (PhD, PsyD, LMHC, LCSW) to add to our diverse team of mental health professionals. We provide individual psychiatric evaluation and clinical services to adults with mental health and substance use.
POSITION FUNCTIONS:
- Demonstrate and practice cultural competence and sophistication in delivering health care to multiple and diverse undergraduate student groups.
- Prepare psychiatric reports as needed.
- Provide short-term or time sensitive treatment compatible with the shelter stay
- Review client’s assessment evaluation to determine the progress, effectiveness, and appropriateness of treatment services offered.
- Participate in outreach programming.
- Attend staff meetings and treatment plan meetings as needed.
- Consult with family members of students as needed.
- Attend in-service training sessions, staff meetings required by shelter for continued growth and development.
- Assist and implement wellness and trauma informed practices.
- All other duties as assigned by the Medical Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensed in New York State
- Experience in implementing at least one type of evidence-based treatment (e.g. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
- NYS Driving License
- Acceptable clearance checks for State Central Register, Driver license and fingerprinting as required by the program.
- Compliance with health regulations for physical
- 6-month -1-year experience with management of working with the homeless population served, preferably within substance abuse treatment program(s).
- Ability to speak, read and write Spanish preferred.

- Must possess sight and digital senses or prosthetics that will enable the essential functions of the job to be completed.
