Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team and work remotely with students in a school setting. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting students with visual impairments and providing personalized, virtual instruction.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education, with a focus on Visual Impairment
- Current New MexicoTeacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) license
- Completion of our online technology screening
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual assessments for students with visual impairments
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and tailored instruction
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school staff to monitor and support student progress
- Provide virtual training and support for students in orientation and mobility, braille, and other adaptive technologies
