Vodec is seeking a passionate, dynamic, and creative full-time Communication Coordinator. As a Communication Coordinator, you will plan and oversee communication publications, strengthen the visibility of Vodec and represent the organization within the community. Available Position:
- Full-time; 40 hours per week
- Monday-Friday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm with some after business hours (evening and weekend) as needed
- Wage: $22.25 per hour
- Hiring Bonus: $1,000 (paid in one increment after six months of continued employment)
As a Communication Coordinator, you will participates in the development and implementation of a comprehensive strategic communications plan to promote and strengthen the visibility, stature, and reputation of the organization and actively position it with its key constituents and critical audiences. You will also participates in coordinating, planning, development and implementation of the organization’s internal and external communication strategies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee communications activities including print, electronic media, and direct mail
- Responsible for creating communications materials to be used to educate people about Vodec
- Facilitate internal and external communications
- Responsible for implementing an approved plan for editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all organization publications
- Coordinate the appearance of all organizations printed and electronic materials such as letterhead, use of logo, brochures, etc.
- Provide quality control on all prepress projects in coordination with variable data requirements to ensure design quality, data integrity and production accuracy
- Ensure communication of organization’s desired image, brand messages, and position are consistent to all constituencies, both internal and external
- Ensure that printed materials, photos, and information to media, etc. is HIPAA compliant with current approved media consent forms on file with the organization
- Coordinate media interest and appropriately route media inquiries about the organization; ensure regular contact with target media
- Establish and enforce policies to ensure a clear, consistent, and powerful message
- Develop and implement public information activities and events to educate and communicate about Vodec
- Represent the organization within certain other community organizations’ memberships
- Address certain public organizations about this organization’s mission and activities
- Maintain relation with customers by organizing and developing specific customer- relations programs determining organization presence at conventions, annual meetings, trade associations, and seminars

Requirements:
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Bachelor's degree or two or more years of work experience in the marketing, public relations, communications, or journalism field preferred
- Understanding and working knowledge of digital media channels and digital advertising requirements
- Good organizational abilities and proven abilities to multi-task
- Good communication, customer service and collaboration skills
- Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality, and a critical eye for design, layout and communication with a professional printer
- Possess working knowledge of software and systems including but may not be limited to Word Press, Adobe InDesign, Canva, Face Book, X (formally Twitter), YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and others that will be developed or used in the future
- Possess working knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards relating to client and employee confidentiality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- Satisfactory driving record (no more than three moving violations in the most recent 36-month period)
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for vehicle type being required to operate
- No convictions for abuse, molestation, theft, burglary, robbery, assault, rape and other crimes against another person or property judged to be job-related
- No founded reports of abuse of a dependent person
- Not actively using illegal substances
- Travel will be required between Vodec office locations and within the community
