Summary/Objective
The Quality Team Lead is responsible for maintaining the quality systems and ensuring the processes meet all customer requirements, as well as being responsible for the quality level of parts produced at each production process and for assisting the Quality Engineer in QA/QC. The Quality Lead adheres to the standards of correct documentation and auditing all production documentation and processes.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for the quality level of parts produced at each production process based on customer and internal requirements
- Ensuring inspection fixtures are up to standard and in useable condition on a daily basis
- Auditing Quality tool status and availability such as control cards and measurement devices
- Verifying that all First Off Part inspections have been performed correctly
- Support staff in critical Quality situations (e.g. evaluation of quality)
- Achieves quality assurance systematic, process, and operational objectives by contributing timely information to staff and management, assisting in the implementation of QA action plans, assisting in the Root Cause Analysis of customer complaints and internal rejects, assisting in the identification and resolution of quality issues
- Assist in customer and supplier relations
- Identify quality issues and drive corrective actions to resolve them
- Establish quality related controls to track and measure critical processes within the plant
- Conduct internal training for Quality Auditors
- Communicate customer requirements to the Quality Auditors
- Placing all members from his/her team to ensure production has the necessary support
- Lead and mentor team members
- Conduct daily meetings

- Experience in inspection of equipment and techniques
- Must have strong problem solving skills
- Experience performing audits internal & external
- Reading engineer drawings
- Must be competent in automotive industry skills
- Must be able to make logical data based decisions
- Skilled in methodical problem solving
- Analytical Skills and attention to detail
- German language skills are asset but not required
- Knowledge of customer norms and requirements
- Ability to evaluate non-conformances in processes and products
Supervisory Responsibility
Leading/supervising any and all associates that work under him/her according to the Quality Organizational Diagram. Monitoring, training, and disciplining will be part of his/her responsibilities. He/she will also be responsible of leading all team activities such as sorting, containment, and all other Quality related activities

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full time position. This role operates on a shift schedule. Shifts are scheduled on three levels, 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Based on shift schedule, this position will work at least 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday. As production demands it, this role will be required to work overtime hours including weekend.
Travel
Occasional local travel, inside the state of GA. Seldom domestic travel required.

- Basic Computer skills

- Technical Certification
- GD & T knowledge
- 1 year Automotive experience
