We are currently looking for a Shipping Coordinator to join our team in Knoxville, Tennessee.
PURPOSE OF POSITION
The contract Shipping Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all inbound and outbound shipments meet customer and Nortrak requirements.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Verify accuracy of shipments (Part number, Serial number, Quantities, Weights, Etc.).
- Create shipping paperwork as per customer and Nortrak guidelines and by referencing Plant backlog.
- Coordinate shipments via phone, email and web applications.
- Ensure accuracy of monthly inventory counts.
- Coordinate resources of shipping department and other departments to ensure order requirements are met.
- Transport product between buildings.
- Keep shipping areas organized, clean, and free of clutter; maintaining clear aisles.
- Load and unload trucks by forklift.
- Move incoming material to designated departments, or warehouse location.
- Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor; sweep, empty trash, break down. cardboard, sort skids, repackage / stage material for shipment, etc..
- Organize and store or dispose of barrels, skids and other items that clutter outside of building.
- Pull and store finished goods and maintain an organized finished goods area.
- Comply with the company’s safety policies and procedures.
- Able to lift up to 50lbs routinely and up to 75lbs periodically.
- Adhere to Nortrak’s Safety, Quality and Environmental Procedures, Practices and Policies.
