Seeking a leader for our quality systems that is detail-oriented, able to think critically in order to work through and partner with teams to solve problems and has experience in automotive industry. This person must be strongly technical and possess the ability to analyze data in order to develop improvement strategies.
What You’ll Be Doing :
Responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality of products and processes throughout the manufacturing cycle by developing and managing quality systems; ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Others as assigned.
- Manage and mentor quality team on standards, procedures, and best practices to achieve departmental goals.
- Lead team to successfully PPAP new product launches.
- Oversee APQP schedule, including quality project milestones.
- Lead and implement effective use and maintenance of core tools (PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, PPAP, SOPs etc.)
- Ensure control plans and associated documents are implemented effectively and maintained through the lifecycle of the project.
- Ensure compliance to the Quality Management Systems in accordance with ISO9001 / IATF1649 standards.
- Participate in internal and external audits related to quality management systems.
- Communicate with customers regarding quality concerns, ensure effective resolution of issues and maintain strong relationships.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement; lead initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Maintain calibration program to ensure that all measurement and test equipment is kept according to industry standards.
Schedule : This position will primarily work eight or more hours per day, five days per week based on business needs and will primarily be day-time hours but may occasionally work or travel nights and weekends for events and special projects.
