We are seeking an Inventory Project Manager to join our team to help Maintain Inventory, Parts, Drawings and Bills of Materials. Work with Inside Sales, Engineering and Production to ensure that Documentation and Production Instructions are complete. Manage special project requirements. Maintain a sufficient amount of inventory while reducing the amount of overstock. Have a working knowledge of inside sales, purchasing, service and production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with Inside Sales and Engineering to create parts, drawings, bills of materials, submittal, and production documentation.
- Work with inside sales and engineering to review sales orders against the customer specification and identify special requirements (special paint, motors, testing, notification, and shipping requirements)
- Ensure that special requirements are incorporated in our routings, so that they are scheduled appropriately, and all notification deadlines are met.
- Work with inside sales to follow up and ensure completed builds are scheduled and shipped as soon as possible. (in scheduler’s absence)
- Create and update parts, bills of materials and routings for US fabrication.
- Manage drawings for fabricated parts.
- Communicate with and support US fabricators.
- Manage inventory (inventory reduction, inventory discrepancies, job close-outs, etc.) aiming for an inventory turn of 12 times per year and a total inventory under $1,000,000.00.
- Manage the cycle count program and the execution of the yearly physical inventory.
- Configure pumps, XRippers, etc. from Germany for use in the US (within 2 hours of request when possible).
- Enter new parts and pricing (within 2 hours of request when possible).
- Create/Update any parts pricing, lead time.
- Back up the Supply Chain Manager in his/her absence.
- Manage calibration records on related tools.
- Create and update parts for assets and demo equipment.
- Research customer quote discrepancies for inside sales.
- Obtain real part #’s from Germany for pumps, x-rippers, rotacuts, etc.
- Pull parts into configured BOM for sales as requested.
- Access German system to configure parts/equipment for forecasted orders.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED, and/or BA Degree preferred.
- Five (5) years of related manufacturing/production and purchasing experience.
- Previous experience with Inventory Management and Materials Planning
- Previous experience in building equipment or complex machinery assembly
- Ability to read and understand Bills of Materials (BOM) and parts drawings
- Working knowledge of production-based ERP systems
