Summary
We are seeking a Shop Manager to oversee our operations at Vogelsang USA, LTD. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient management of our shop while maintaining our commitment to quality and service excellence. The Shop Manager will Supervise and oversee responsibilities of the production team. Evaluate staff performance, reward and discipline support staff, address complaints and resolve problems.
Scope:
Manages the day-to-day operations of a specific shop or department within a manufacturing or service facility.
Responsibilities
- Oversees workflow and ensures production schedules are met.
- Manages shop employees, ensuring adherence to safety and operational procedures.
- Coordinates with inventory and supply chain teams to ensure materials are available.
- Maintains shop equipment and ensures proper maintenance.
- Often involved in direct supervision of workers on the floor.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production and/or final assembly environment is required.
- Experience with Quality Assurance is preferred
- High School Diploma or GED, plus minimum of five (5) years of related Production Supervisor experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Previous experience with CAD or ERP systems is a plus
