We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Remote Inside Sales Representative in in the Pacific Northwest US, to join a manufacturer specializing in high-quality equipment used in the fire and public safety industries. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional with a proven track record of building a book of business and developing strong relationships remotely.
Candidates for this role must possess a "hunter" mentality, excelling at prospecting, lead generation, and closing sales remotely. You will primarily engage with firefighting professionals, and municipalities in the Pacific Northwest region (Washington, Oregon, and Idaho). This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to develop relationships over the phone and through virtual meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect and Build Relationships: Utilize your existing relationships with fire departments, fire chiefs, and municipal buyers in the Pacific Northwest to drive new business and expand our market presence.
- Sales Outreach: Make outbound calls and conduct virtual meetings to engage with potential customers, identify their needs, and effectively pitch our products and solutions.
- Customer Retention: Develop long-term relationships with clients, ensuring repeat business and referrals through excellent service and follow-up.
- Sales Strategy: Work with management to create and implement a strategic sales plan to target key accounts and expand the customer base within the assigned territory.
- Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on the latest offerings, ensuring you can speak confidently about our products and provide value-driven recommendations to customers.
- CRM Management: Track and manage sales activities, customer interactions, and follow-ups within the CRM to ensure smooth sales processes and accurate reporting.
- Travel: Occasional travel within the Pacific Northwest region (up to 10-15% of the time) for in-person meetings, trade shows, and other events as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven success in inside sales, with a strong track record of building and maintaining a book of business remotely (phone, email, virtual meetings).
- Strong "hunter" mentality, with an ability to proactively seek out and close new sales opportunities.
- Existing relationships with fire departments, fire chiefs, and municipal buyers in Washington, Oregon, or Idaho is highly preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and build rapport with a variety of stakeholders.
- Experience with sales tools and CRM systems.
- Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to work independently and remotely.
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred experience within the firefighting industry and/or a working knowledge of equipment and processes within the industry.
- The preferred candidate will live in or near the Pacific Northwest (Washington, Oregon, or Idaho) to best serve the territory.
