The Sales Leader will drive all sales activities in their assigned market and lead and develop the sales team to achieve maximum profitability and growth while providing world-class customer service.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure Sales personnel meet or exceed all activity standards. Collaborate with sales and marketing team to define and execute strategies, and target and pursue customers that align with business objectives. Maintain and grow the existing customer base while developing new opportunities for revenue growth.
- Develop customer relationships and build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Champion the company’s mission and core values while leading effectively and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence. Partner with HR to recruit, train, and develop new and existing talent.
- Assist sales personnel with goals, prospecting, outreach, customer and time management and prioritization, margin and sales cycle management, profitability analysis, etc. Provide feedback and coaching as needed and conduct regular performance reviews with actionable feedback and development opportunities for ongoing growth.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent business and leadership experience.
- 5 years of industrial sales experience with 2 years in a leadership role and a proven record of achieving sales targets and developing top sales talent.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills including training, coaching, and performance management.
- Professional demeanor and effective communicator with interpersonal skills to negotiate effectively and close deals, manage supplier relationships, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
