Senior SQL Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Developer with database administration capabilities to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SQL Server environments while providing technical leadership in database design, optimization, and maintenance.
If you’re our new Senior SQL Developer, you will look forward to engaging in activities such as:
Designing, developing, and maintaining high-performing SQL databases and queries.
Optimizing existing database structures and stored procedures.
Troubleshooting and resolving complex SQL performance issues.
Performing light to medium database administration tasks.
Refactoring legacy SQL code to improve performance and maintainability.
Implementing and maintaining proper database version control practices.
Collaborating with development teams to ensure optimal database integration.
Monitoring and tuning database performance
Required Technical Skills – You Should Have:
Expert-level knowledge of SQL Server 2019 and Azure SQL Database.
Advanced proficiency with query profiling, optimization, and indexing strategies.
Strong experience writing and optimizing stored procedures and triggers.
Demonstrated ability to profile and refactor legacy SQL for performance improvements.
Experience with database views, user-defined functions, and complex joins.
Proficiency with Visual Studio 2019 for Integration Services catalogs.
Experience with Business Objects Enterprise (BOE) 4.3.
A deep understanding of database security best practices.
Your accomplishments thus far:
You have five or more years of professional SQL development experience.
You have experience with light to medium database administration tasks.
You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
You have knowledge of database backup and recovery procedures.
You are familiar with database monitoring tools.
You have experience with database migration and version control.
You have excellent documentation practices.
You have effective communication skills and the ability to explain complex database concepts.

We are currently inviting residents of Colorado, Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Washington.
Salary Range: $120,000 – $130,000 per annum, depending on experience and expertise. This figure represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the potential salary for this role. Salary and whole compensation package to be determined by the candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. We may offer a salary outside this range to an exceptional candidate.
