Program DescriptionA flexible 12-week remote internship focused on creating children's stories (ages 3-9) that inspire positive social action and community engagement. Interns work virtually to craft age-appropriate narratives that empower young readers to make a difference in their local communities.

Learning Objectives- Master age-appropriate storytelling techniques for different developmental stages- Develop skills in creating engaging, inclusive narratives- Learn to incorporate social impact themes in accessible ways- Understand community needs and translate them into stories- Gain practical experience in story creation and virtual presentation

Core Responsibilities1. Story Development- Research community issues suitable for young audiences- Create original stories featuring diverse characters and situations- Develop accompanying illustrations or visual concepts- Craft interactive elements that encourage reader participation

2. Virtual Community Engagement- Conduct virtual interviews with community leaders- Participate in online reading sessions with schools and libraries- Gather digital feedback from teachers and parents- Engage in virtual community events

3. Story Testing and Refinement- Conduct virtual story readings- Collect and incorporate online feedback- Adapt stories based on audience response- Document best practices and learning outcomes
