We work directly with schools, teachers, families, and college writing programs to create engaging experiences that make writing fun, accessible, and inspiring for children of all ages.
Position Details
Location : 100% Remote
Schedule : Flexible hours
Duration : Semester-based
Compensation :

Key Responsibilities
Develop engaging creative writing curricula and activities for K-12 studentsCreate digital content that makes writing concepts accessible and excitingCollaborate with teachers to implement writing programs in their classroomsDesign family engagement strategies to support writing practice at homeCollege & Community Engagement (New Focus Area) :Research and identify top creative writing programs at colleges and universitiesDevelop outreach strategies to connect with college writing departments and student organizationsCreate and manage a mentorship program pairing college writers with K-12 classroomsDesign virtual workshop series featuring college student writersCoordinate collaborative writing projects between college and K-12 studentsEstablish partnerships with college literary magazines and writing clubsOrganize virtual campus visits and writing workshopsCreate opportunities for college students to serve as virtual writing tutorsDevelop innovative ways to showcase collaborative work between college and K-12 studentsCommunity Partnership Development :Identify and establish partnerships with local libraries, writing centers, and literacy organizationsCreate cross-institutional writing events and competitionsDevelop community-based writing initiatives that connect different educational levelsDesign virtual writing festivals featuring both college and K-12 student workRequired Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed degree in Education, English, Creative Writing, or a related fieldStrong written and verbal communication skillsPassion for youth education and creative developmentSelf-motivated with the ability to work independentlyExperience with digital collaboration toolsStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellence in relationship-building and networkingPreferred Qualifications
Previous experience working with children in educational settingsFamiliarity with curriculum developmentKnowledge of current educational technology trendsBackground in creative writing or storytellingExperience with social media content creationUnderstanding of collegiate writing programs and academic environmentsExperience in program development or event planningLearning Outcomes
