Voices of Hope is a non-profit organization providing peer support to the communities in Cecil and Harford County. Our mission is to advocate for behavioral health disorder prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery resources; eliminate the stigma of addiction through outreach events and education; and support ALL pathways of recovery.
We are looking for people who are allies of recovery or those with at least two years of continuous recovery to join our team at Voices of Hope in Aberdeen, MD .
Position available: Full Time Assistant Program Supervisor
Pay Range is $23.00 - $27/hour depending on experience
SUMMARY:
The Assistant Program Supervisor will provide direct support to the Program/Operations Supervisor/s in overseeing the daily operations of the program and all Peers and Volunteers performing duties. The Assistant Program Supervisor will be responsible for making sure the program is operating within the mission and vision of the organization, and they will work closely with the Management Team to strategize and implement Harm Reduction and Recovery Support services through a variety of internal and external programs. The Assistant Program Supervisor will also ensure grant deliverables are being met and programs are implemented and maintained.
QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS:
1. Valid Driver's License
2. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
3. Certified Peer Recovery Specialist
4. Certified Narcan Train the Trainer
5. Fluent in Overdose Prevention
6. Previous Management Experience
7. Recovery Coach Academy Training
8. Nurtures and maintains community partnerships, has at least two years of verifiable recovery and is active in that recovery process.
9. Ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities.
10. Demonstrates professional communication internally and externally through email, via phone, and in person.
11. Ability to maintain a work calendar and schedule meetings.
12. Must have experience with fax machines, computers, and various software and applications including Google suite: gmail, drive, docs, sheets
13. Strong attention to detail.
14. Responsive and accountable.
15. Strong presentation skills
16. Mentoring staff, can identify strengths and weaknesses in themselves, can identify emotions in others, can understand group dynamics and can lead through inspiration.
17. Ability to take responsibility for the functionality of the program and understanding lives depend on us.

The job functions of this position require to be in the outdoors as needed in all weather, including but not limited to rain, snow, sleet, high wind, cold, and heat, and may be exposed to biting and/or stinging insects to include but not limited to ticks, chiggers, mosquitoes, flies and bees. Extensive walking and standing are required of this position to participate in community events.
