We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Permit & Document Administrator to support our construction projects in Detroit. This role will be responsible for overseeing permit applications, managing construction documentation, and coordinating with project teams to ensure smooth administrative operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with permitting processes, construction document management, and familiarity with industry software platforms such as Autodesk Build (ACC Build) and Procore.

Key Responsibilities :

Permitting & Compliance :

Manage and coordinate permit applications with the City of Detroit.

  • Ensure all safety paperwork is completed and up to date.
  • Assist in handling OCIP (Owner-Controlled Insurance Program) incidents that occur onsite.

Project Administration & Coordination :

Greet and assist customers in the construction trailer.

  • Support billing and payment administration for subcontractors.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager (PM) to process progress payments and coordinate project financials.
  • Hand off project-related documents and updates to PM and PE
  • Follow up with the Accounts Payable department in Houston regarding payment processing.
  • Document Control & Software Management :

    Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam, Revit, and AutoCAD for document administration.

  • Assist the Project Engineer (PE) in managing and organizing construction documents within Autodesk Build, ensuring accessibility and accuracy.
  • Qualifications & Skills :

  • Experience in construction administration, permitting, or document control.
  • Familiarity with permitting processes in the City of Detroit.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, and exposure to Bluebeam, Revit, and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC Build) or Procore is beneficial
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work collaboratively with project teams.
