Our Client has an excellent opportunity for a talented electrical engineer to support medium-voltage infrastructure projects in our Irvine, CA offices.
The ideal candidate will have 5 to 10 years of experience with:
- Medium voltage (2.4kV – 35kV) infrastructure design for commercial and industrial facilities that is suitable for public bid, including specification of associated switchgear, transformers, and other related medium voltage equipment
- Specification and coordination of protective relaying and SCADA systems for medium voltage electrical systems
Requirements
- Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, majoring in Power and Energy Systems
- Active PE License is preferred
- Minimum 5 years' experience
- Able to work on electrical infrastructure design projects with minimal supervision
- Experience using AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and Revit
- Prior experience working on commercial/industrial infrastructure projects. Must be able to access and perform site visits
Working Knowledge
- California Electrical Code
- National Electrical Code
- California Energy Code
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Revit a plus
- AutoCAD a plus
Duties:
Pre-Design Engineering
- Perform field surveys for the design of electrical systems, gather information, and prepare site assessment report
- Prepare electrical schematic designs
Project Management
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple large size projects involving other senior engineers and subconsultants
- Provide mentorship to design engineers
- Prepare proposals independently for clients
- Demonstrate active development of business with new and existing clients
Construction Administration
- Review and respond to RFI’s
- Review equipment submittals
- Perform punch walks and prepare punch list report
