As a Project Manager , you will oversee and manage all aspects of commercial construction projects, including multi-million-dollar projects in drywall, masonry, structural strengthening, and building envelope restoration. Key responsibilities include :
Project Management :
Budget Development : Develop accurate project budgets by utilizing historical data from previous projects, ensuring financial control from start to finish.Field Visits : Periodically visit pending and active projects to ensure correct field methods are followed and to gain a complete understanding of project progress.Cost Tracking : Possess in-depth knowledge of local labor, material, and equipment costs. Oversee and track all labor, whether from subcontractors or internal teams.Deliverables : Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and verify the completion of all work according to specifications.Team Development : Manage and mentor team members, ensuring their professional growth within the company and helping to foster an effective work environment.Client Relations : Maintain positive relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact at the project level and ensuring client satisfaction.Operations : Represent the company in all aspects of site operations, ensuring compliance with company standards and safety protocols.Qualifications :
Education : A B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Finance, or Accounting is preferred.Experience : 3 years of Project Management experience with substantial estimating background (2 years as an Assistant Estimator).Bonus : An MBA is a plus!Skills : Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage complex projects and ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.Industry Knowledge : Experience in commercial drywall, masonry, structural strengthening, and building envelope restoration projects.Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, internal teams, and subcontractors.Success Factors :
Client Development : Experience in marketing, sales, or client development, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.Industry Experience : Previous experience working for a commercial drywall subcontractor or general contractor (GC).Pressure Management : Demonstrated ability to produce results in high-pressure environments and meet / exceed project goals with minimal supervision.Self-Motivation : Highly self-motivated with a commitment to personal and professional excellence.Position Flexibility : Ability to work both in the office and on job sites as required.Additional Requirements :
