Key Responsibilities
Project Detailing & Estimating:
Develop accurate project estimates, including pricing, material needs, and error identification in designs/specifications.
Conduct commercial door, frame, and hardware take-offs and assist with pricing.
Vendor & Client Coordination:
Work with top industry vendors like Allegion and Assa Abloy to ensure project success.
Communicate with customers to resolve door deficiencies and ensure code compliance .
Project Management & Execution:
Oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring all materials and specifications align with industry standards .
Assist sales and operations teams in blueprint reading, specification interpretation, and construction procedures .
Monitor actual vs. estimated material use to improve project efficiency.
Team Support & Quality Control:
Provide a “second set of eyes” for order verification and project changes.
Assist in reviewing revised project documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
What You Need to Succeed
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Finance, or Accounting (Preferred)
5 years of experience specializing in Doors, Frames, and Hardware
Key Skills & Success Factors:
Strong organizational and project management skills
Ability to work independently and meet/exceed goals with minimal supervision
Self-motivated with a commitment to excellence
Excellent blueprint reading and estimating skills
Knowledge of local building codes and industry standards
