Position Overview
As a Water Technician, you will play a crucial role in mitigation efforts, assisting in water extraction, mold removal, and property restoration. Using specialized equipment and industry best practices, you will help restore homes and businesses affected by water damage. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and wants to grow within the restoration industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow directions from the team leader and assist in mitigation efforts.
- Understand and adhere to safety guidelines, including proper use of cleaning solutions and equipment.
- Perform water extraction and drying processes using industry-leading techniques.
- Conduct daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections to ensure equipment is ready for use.
- Set up containment systems and operate HEPA vacuums for mold remediation.
- Carefully handle and protect clients’ personal belongings during restoration work.
- Assist with removing vapor barriers, cutting and labeling salvageable materials, and setting up drying systems.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, time worked, and materials used.
- Be available for occasional travel, night shifts, and weekend work as needed.
- Participate in ongoing training and certifications to advance within the company.
