We are currently searching for an experienced Construction Project Engineer to support our West Gulf Region located in Baton Rouge and New Orleans, LA .

What you’ll be doing :

Serving as Owner’s representative on assigned projects
Leading a staff of engineers and technicians during the construction phases of projects
Documenting projects as required according to owner’s Standards
Creating pay estimates to the contractor
Interpreting plans and specifications
Negotiating contract changes
Overseeing QA of construction projects
Communicating with both internal and external stakeholder
Overseeing material sampling and testing program

What you need to have :

5 years of experience in construction project technical / management experience for Heavy Civil and Transportation construction

Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program

Professional engineer (PE) license in LA. 4 years of post PE licensure engineering experience

Excellent skills in identifying and solving complex problems

Experience in administering heavy civil construction projects and reviewing plans and specifications for constructability

The ability to mentor and train others
