We are currently searching for an experienced Project Engineer to support our West Gulf Region located in Shreveport, LA .
What you’ll be doing :
- Directly supports Owner’s project leadership to enable successful on-time and on-schedule delivery of the projects / tasks
- Responsible for management and oversight of the Project / Tasks, including coordinating with stakeholders and meeting all project requirements
- Represents the team on technical discussions and has the technical knowhow to discuss and resolve technical issues
- Sees the project’s “big picture” beyond engineering and construction requirements, and understands their interface with the project’s objectives
- Ability to balance technical constraints, policy goals, and stakeholder needs to recommend optimal solutions to difficult issues
- Coordinates with multiple agencies and local jurisdictions to provide timely information sharing, win-win solutions, and ultimately obtain project support
- Coordinates with community and business stakeholders to provide timely information, receive productive input, and responsive issue resolution
- Assisting in the design, construction, and maintenance of infrastructures
- These projects may include bridges, roads, tunnels, water, and sewage systems
- Different roadway design components include typical sections, geometric layouts, drainage analysis, maintenance of traffic plans
- Assignments will also involve tasks associated with producing a set of construction documents including drafting, computations, specifications, and cost estimate
- Mentor junior engineers
- Perform detailed engineering calculations & analysis, and utilizes design software to solve complex issues
- Responsible for project schedules and client communications
- Provide QA / QC checks of plans and calculations on each stage of plan submittals
