We are currently searching for an experienced Right of Way Agent to support our Mid-Atlantic Region located in Virginia Beach, VA and Springfield, VA. This position is a hybrid position.
What you’ll be doing:
- Acquiring land, easements, and other rights for our transportation & utility clients
- Responsible for document preparation, ensuring compliance with all State, Federal & Local laws & regulations
- Communicates directly with clients and landowners- generating regular status and predictive reporting, frequent direct communication to assure timely completion of projects while staying within budget, high level of accountability
- Successful candidate possesses significant Right of Way knowledge & experience, superior communications skills, and an ability to foster a strong working relationship with the client & team
- Review site plans and prepare offer packages
- Maintain the project database
- Conduct special negotiations with government & other entities
- Assist Right of Way Manager with project management, staff training & development
What you need to have:
- Significant Right of Way knowledge & experience
- Working knowledge of Relocation rules and regulations
- Superior communication skills
- Ability to foster a strong working relationship with the client and landowners
- Experience with Microsoft Office Products
- Excellent analytical skills
- Virginia Real Estate License
- Able to use scheduling software
- Experience with forecasting and projections
- Review engineering drawings
- Possesses ability to effectively serve in both leadership and support roles on project teams
- Ability to listen to the client and landowners and translate into solutions that meet or exceed expectations
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Understand and execute oral and written instructions
- Exhibit high-level self-management skills
- Perform efficiently and accurately while working on multiple projects
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Ability to demonstrate organizational skills, including attention to detail
