Volkert, Inc has openings for the position Traffic Engineer with Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Technology or related and 1 yr of exp to provide operations analysis for Traffic Impact Studies, Corridor Studies, Multi-modal studies, and similar technical / safety assessments. Provide intersection improvement and associated roadway improvement recommendations including Intersection Design Studies (IDS). Bicycle and pedestrian facility recommendations. Traffic signal design and responding to citizens’ concerns about traffic and completing Design Requests and work orders to improve safety and operations. The concerns include but are not limited to requests for additional crosswalks, requests for the installation of traffic barriers, requests for the installation of speed calming devices, and requests for improved signing and marking. Collect and analyze traffic-related data.
