Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing the flow of materials and products within our facility. This role involves various tasks including order picking, packaging, and utilizing equipment such as RF scanners and pallet jacks to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
Duties
- Stock and organize materials in designated areas to maintain an efficient workflow.
- Utilize RF scanners for tracking inventory and processing orders accurately.
- Perform order picking and packing tasks to prepare products for shipment.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Load and unload materials from trucks or containers as required.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while handling materials.
Requirements
- Previous experience in material handling or warehouse operations is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with order fulfillment processes, including picking, packing, and shipping.
- Ability to operate RF scanners and pallet jacks; training will be provided if necessary.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in stock management.
- Capable of lifting heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management systems such as AS400 is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
