Role Summary:
This position is the Quality part owner (Q-BTV) of the local developed cell component for NAR. The main responsibilities include: support the local supplier control and qualification, qualification of production processes based on lithium-ion technology, ensure VW tech. spec. and quality requirement be fulfilled in the whole industrialization process. To work closely with the local suppliers’ engineering team to achieve the SOP goal with the strong linkage to CoE Germany.

Role Responsibilities
NAR responsibilities – 100 % of time spent
- Control and qualification of suppliers in NAR region
- Support the qualification of production processes based on lithium-ion technology
- Support the release of process and product for series production
- Ensuring quality requirements in the product development process (VW PEP)
- Participation in the projects as part owner
- Continuous development of quality, test standards and specifications
- Presentation of component scopes in the associated project committees
- Development and coordination of measures for component failure analyses
- Carry out workshops and technical meetings with suppliers/ sub-suppliers
- Conducting national/ international supplier visits
- Participation in interdisciplinary topics and tasks at the cell module and battery system level
Years of Experience:
- 5 years of professional experience in development quality control and/or supplier quality assurance in automotive industry
- Bachelor’s in chemistry, material sciences, physics, mechanical engineering or electrical engineering or a comparable qualification
- Master or Doctorate Degree in chemistry, material sciences, physics, mechanical engineering or electrical engineering or a comparable qualification
- Analytical and conceptual thinking – using logic and reason, creative and strategic
- Highly organized and good time management
- Communication skills – interpersonal, presentation and written
- Computer savvy – skilled in the use of software
- Integration – joining people, processes or systems
- Influencing and negotiation skills
- Above-average team skills
- High level of assertiveness, confident demeanor
- Persistence in implementing solutions
- Experience in quality assurance
- Comprehensive knowledge of batteries and battery cell technology
- Experience with VW systems (e.g BEON, TEVON, AVON)
- Business fluency in English; German language as advantage Intercultural competence, especially USA, Canada, Asia and Germany
- Good project management skills and good knowledge of MS Office
- German skills written and verbal are advantageous
- 3-5 years as the cell, cell/module part owner
- Knowledge of HV Battery system/EV
- Frequently traveling to the suppliers up to 50%, ext. lab and the R&D department in Germany
- Increased extended travel to Germany and Canada during the initial phase of the work
