What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Deep Learning position at Volkswagen?
We are shaping the future of mobility at Volkswagen Group of America. Our Innovation & Engineering Center California (IECC) is where German engineering meets American ingenuity, located in the heart of Silicon Valley.
As a Senior AI Engineer, you will be part of our team that represents the Volkswagen Group in applied research and development. Your mission will be to drive change by developing innovative solutions for autonomous driving, manufacturing, design, and more.
You will apply machine learning/deep learning techniques to create bold new ideas for the Volkswagen, Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, Bugatti, and Porsche brands. This role requires 3 days/week onsite work and involves integrating modules into real cars, ensuring testability, and proving safety.
We are looking for candidates with extensive experience in Computer Vision, Deep Learning, forecasting, transformers, CNNs, and building data models. You will need to maintain and enhance existing machine learning modules, design new approaches, stay up-to-date with industry trends, and collaborate with engineers worldwide.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- 6-8 years of professional experience
- 4 years of Deep Learning experience
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Our ideal candidate has strong knowledge of different machine learning algorithms, including deep learning techniques and frameworks. They should also have expertise in computer vision, NLP, and neural network architectures.
In return, we offer a competitive salary range of $165,000-$200,000 depending on education and experience, plus excellent benefits and opportunities for growth.
