Volland Electric, a long-standing and growing WNY industrial equipment repair and sales operation is now accepting resumes for an Inside Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team. This is a great opportunity for a stable, long-term career with many opportunities for upward movement within the company. Salary is based on experience and there is commission. A background in engineering/technical expertise is strongly preferred. Experience is not required, but it is also preferred.
Being a family run business founded in 1943, we are more than willing to train and develop motivated individuals. The main products being sold are industrial equipment and related services, more specifically, electric motors, cranes & hoists, industrial control products, and more. Individuals will be working with a very diverse range of companies from major manufacturing plants to hospitals and schools, and everything in between. This role does not involve cold-calling, but it does require relationship building with our customers to maintain the reputation that we have developed over the past 81 years.
Daily tasks include quoting based on customer specifications, processing orders, expediting deliveries, resolving problems, and ultimately providing our customers with the best sales service possible. This involves working with a broad range of employees within the company such as our motor repair shop, crane & hoist department, industrial control panel facility, and more. Problem solving and the development of technical expertise and product knowledge are crucial to success in this role. Employees will be working with highly experienced coworkers that can help cultivate your knowledge on the job.
